Hyundai prepared few upgrades for the 2013 model year Sonata, a model which won’t receive any aesthetic improvements.
However, the Korean manufacturer decided to provide additional equipment to the trim levels and release the pricing for the packages in question.

The entry-level Hyundai Sonata GLS benefits now from heated front seats and fog lights with pricing starting at $21,720 while the SE version also gains a new pair of heated front seats.

Next up is the Sonata Limited which benefits now from a sunroof while a panoramic sunroof enters the standard equipment list of the Limited Premium Package.

As mentioned above, Hyundai prepared no performance improvements for the 2013 Sonata. This means that the engine range includes a 2.4-liter Theta II GDI unit with 198 horsepower and also a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged GDI engine developing 274 horses.

Hyundai offers a hybrid version of the model which uses a 2.4-liter engine producing 169 horsepower and a 30 kW electric motor with a lithium polymer battery.
Linked to a six-speed automatic transmission, the model returns a combined fuel economy of 37mpg (6,4 liters/100 km).
