By now, we all know the importance of the Asian market to any serious car maker. And although China gets tons of attention these days, Japan was not forgotten.
Mercedes-Benz decided to treat the island to one of its special edition vehicles, the G550 Night Edition.
So what will the Japanese get that no one else will? For starters, the Mercedes G550 Night Edition will feature special AMG fenders. It will sit atop 18 inch five twin-spoke aluminium wheels and will wear an Obsidian Black paint job.
The interior offers a choice between either classic red or white porcelain color scheme, with piano-lacquer wood trims, alcantara roof liner, a dashboard wrapped in Kana jet black leather, and special floor mats.
The Mercedes-Benz G550 Night Edition uses a 5.5 liter V8 engine to produce power than is distributed to the wheels via a seven speed automatic gear box. With only 100 units planned for production, the G500 Night Edition will be officially unveiled on the 22nd of April, each unit costing 13.900.000 Yen (141.660 USD).
