With a dramatic history behind that starts with 1932 and plenty of ups and downs throughout its existence, the iconic Volkswagen Beetle has survived the test of time and is now enjoying an increased popularity all over the world, especially with the recently introduced 2018 model in the United States.
The car`s evolutionary design language is a pleasant one, and all the high-tech innovations has not spoiled the car`s exquisite body style. The only difference between “THEN” and “NOW” is that the model is bigger and more aerodynamically advanced.
In the United States, the 2018 Volkswagen Beetle can be had from $20,220, without the $850 destination fee, and comes with plenty of new styling elements and plenty of power under the hood.
There are two variants involved, the standard S Coupe and the SE Convertible, each one coming with a 2.-liter flat-four cylinder turbocharged engine, developing 174 horsepower. The fuel consumption also stands at 26 mpg/33 mpg/29 mpg (city/highway/combined). The features and options for each variant can be found below.
