The Romanian manufacturer has very important news to announce, so, everyone pay attention please. Dacia managed to reach an important milestone today, the vehicle number 4,000,000 left the gates of the factory in Mioveni.
Dacia’s 4,000,000th vehicle is the new SUV in the range, Duster, and its owner is a 58 year old customer from Romania. The jump from 3 million to 4 million units produced happened in about 4 years which is pretty quick and is mainly due to the significant investment made by the father brand, Renault.
The French manufacturer took the Romanian brand in 1999 and since then they invested about €1,2 billion in the assembly line and plant. Back in the present, the vehicle number 4 million is a full option Duster, more exactly the 4×4 Laureate version equipped with the 1.5-liter dCi unit able to develop 110 horsepower.
The boom of the Romanian brand started few years ago when Dacia introduced Logan, a model that revived the sales and opened the way to international markets. Models such as Sandero and the new Duster are continuing to write history.
