How much more suffering can you get from the same problem? I’m not sure, but the guys at Toyota definitely have proper knowledge about it. In a recent announcement of the unintended acceleration recall the Japanese are back to visiting the court room.
Automotive recalls weren’t something special until the Japanese at Toyota re-wrote the stat book on the whole affair last year. In what’s a bit of a surprise, Toyota has now announced us they are recalling yet more cars for the same problem with pedal entrapment.
Let’s move past the recall business with the Toyota unintended acceleration problems for a few minutes okay? Actually, let’s not. Toyota screwed up and they’re still working towards fixing it. Their latest effort turns the attention to the management of the company.
I hate Toyota’s attitude with the unintended acceleration recall and no matter what comes about, that’s not going to change very soon. Something was in the running, the NHTSA’s 10 month long safety probe could have had the answer to why the unintended acceleration happened and may have cleared the Japanese.
After the huge recall involving million of units in 2010, the Japanese from Toyota face another challenge even from the start of this year. They have to recall about 1,7 million units worldwide due to some fuel pump problems, in Europe about 135,000 units being affected. From the 1,7 million vehicles, about 245,000 are wearing […]
Over the past year we’ve seen and heard a lot about how Toyota has spent millions and millions of dollars with their massive recall. We’ve also heard how the Japanese have even payed fines and penalties worth several more millions and now we find the whole thing hasn’t really affected them.
Somehow, Toyota can’t manage to avoid the previous problems, especially when it comes to mentioning legal repercussions of the unintended acceleration situation. Boy did I ever say that politically. Toyota screwed up big time and they paid through the nose for it.
In the olden days, in good quality movies it was impossible to kill the baddie. In present times however, things have slightly changed. For Toyota at least, the baddie was their enormous and unrivaled recall for unintended acceleration problems. While they have “killed the recall off” some problems it generated keep cropping up.
The Japanese manufacturer Toyota is hit by another recall, this time regarding steering problems. The recall affects the models sold in U.S., two models being in disscusion: Toyota Avalon, just the models manufactured between 2000 and 2004 and Lexus LX470, the models manufactured between 2003 and 2007. We can see that the Japanese manufacturer is […]
Toyota has had a series of recall issues which seem rather problematic to get rid of. This is because another two recalls have been announced by the Japanese manufacturer: one regarding the Lexus LX 470 and another the Avalon model.
The Japanese officials admitted that around 270,000 vehicles sold globally including Lexus models, reported engine trouble. The engine may stop while driving the car. After being hit by a massive recall earlier this year, when they had to recall about 8 million vehicles due to acceleration problems, now, the Japanese at Toyota are facing a […]
Toyota has received dozens of complaints in North America and Japan on braking issues of the popular Prius hybrid. Toyota is a pioneer in terms of ecological models and any questions about security of the Prius hybrid could be a major setback to its efforts to recover from heavy losses caused by the recall of […]
The latest Toyota recall is now a very common subject. If in the first phase we didn’t know if this recall will affect Europe, now, we know with confidence. Auris, Aygo, Avensis, Corolla, iQ, RAV4, Verso and Yaris are the models that Toyota will call to services for inspection. In total, the recall reach 1.8 […]
Three months after announcing a recall of over four million cars, Toyota U.S. recall to service other 2.3 million units due to potential technical problems. Besides the fact that U.S. economic problems have weakened the momentum of the Toyota cars sold in this market, the Japanese manufacturer’s customers are facing a wave of recalls that […]
Toyota will make a 43,000 units recall in China because of a potential leakage of oil engine. One month ago, U.S. Toyota recalled to service a total of 3.8 million cars for a problem at acceleration pedal, and now China office of Japanese manufacturer will have to do a recall of 43,000 units. Year ends […]
That’s not the first time but now the number of cars is dramatically. Japanese car manufacturer announced that it will recall 3.8 millions vehicles from U.S. market due to the risk that the floor mats block the accelerator pedal, a problem suspected to have caused several accidents in which five people lost their lives.
