Australia: 2016 Citroen DS 4 Crossback Costs at least $46,990

Citroen has entered the crossover/SUV Australian market with its newly launched 2016 DS 4 Crossback, the model being offered in a limited edition.

Prices are set at $46,990 but if you want extra goodies, then you are going to have to empty your packets for more cash. For instance, the Metallic body wrap can be had at $800, while the 18-inch “Brisbane” alloys set you back at another $1,000.

The 2016 Citroen DS 4 Crossback is based on the regular DS 4, coming with the same off-road particularities, but adding a raised ground clearance of around 30 mm. Additionally, the DS 4 Crossback has also received an upgraded suspension system.

The general body style tweaks refer to the LED headlights and daytime running lights, revised front and rear skirts, extended wheel arches with black plastic, black side mirrors, grey roof bars, all complemented by the 17-inch “Canberra” alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin received an updated 7.0-inch touchscreen interface compatible with Android Car and Apple CarPlay systems, adding Mirror Ling, satellite navigation or digital radio.

Other features include leather front seats with massage function, keyless entry, start/stop button, dual-zone climate control, tire pressure monitoring, auto headlights and wipers, rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, six airbags and so on.

In the engine department, the all-new 2016 Citroen DS 4 Crossbach brags with a fresh 2.0-liter BlueHdi turbo-diesel flat-four engine, which develops 133 kW and 400 Nm of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is done in a good 8.6 seconds. The crossover also comes with an average fuel consumption of 4.3L for every 60 mph.
