The new Mercedes-AMG C43 will have a rough contester in the United States in the shape of the newly announced 2018 Audi S4, which is cheaper, yet coming with a plethora of high-end features at the exterior and inside, not to mention the powerful engine under the hood.
Once it will arrive locally starting next month, the 2018 Audi S4 will kick off in two variants – the entry-level S4 priced from $50,900, as well as the top of the line S4 Prestige, setting you back at $52,000, depending on the list of options available. The prices do not include the $975 destination fee.
Both variants come with high-end features as standard. Amongst the top notch we should mention LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED taillights.
Inside, the cabin is offered with Audi`s latest MMI system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Audi`s virtual cockpit, premium Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, dual pane acoustic glass for front side windows, three-zone automatic climate control with digital display for rear passengers, adaptive cruise control with stop & go and traffic jam assist, and so on.
As for the powertrain under the hood, the 2018 Audi S4 will be able to fight back against its top predator, the all-new Mercedes-AMG C43 with a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 engine, developing a good 354 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. That would be just enough to deliver a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h.
