The Spanish people from Seat released photos and details on the 2012 Ibiza, a facelift model which is expected to arrive in the coming months in Europe. The facelift treatment is applied to three-door, five-door hatchback and Sport Tourer versions as you can see in the official images below.
“The next generation of the successful Spanish model is here – the new SEAT Ibiza captures the heart with its young, emotional design and fun-to-drive zest, and convinces the head with its innovative technologies and further improved functionality and quality,” says Seat.
Under the bonnet, the Spanish model will get a 1.2-liter unit offering 59 horsepower while a more powerful 1.4-liter TFSI engine with 150 horses will be available too.
Moreover, a fuel efficient 1.2-liter TSI Ecomotive engine will enter the range later with decent performance figures of over 100 horses and 175 Nm of torque and a combined fuel consumption of just 5,1 liters/100 km. James Muir, the President of Seat, says that the new model is aimed to the young customers who are looking forward to a sporty model.
