Volkswagen starts Golf Convertible’s production early next year

The convertible version of the Volkswagen Golf is getting closer and there are not anymore doubts if this body version will enter production or not. According to a Volkswagen official, Martin Winterkorn more exactly, the Volkswagen Golf Convertible is ready to enter the production line somewhere next year, in the early 2011, in Spring.

The German convertible model that most probably will make the audience to forgot the Eos convertible currently in VW’s range and that will feature a fabric top will be manufactured in the German city Osnabruck.

Once the convertible model based on Volkswagen Golf will enter production, about 1800 people will be hired in order to keep the rhythm with the production rate, a production rate that will be increased once the convertible model starts its promenade in the automotive market. Volkswagen Golf Convertible is expected to debut at a major auto show probably at Geneva but nothing is certain.
